Corpse Bride Title Sequence Animation
This was my final project in my motion graphics class. All illustrations were done by me and edited in After Effects. I used the opening title song from the Corpse Bride movie (2005), by Danny Elfman. I pulled elements from the film to drop hints about the various characters in the movie without giving too much away. There are effects such as 3d elements, fog, camera movement, and lighting. This piece was nominated for the UCDA Awards.
Bee's Meads Instagram Reel Animation
This was a marketing/promotional piece I created for my senior capstone project, Bee's Meads. This would be posted in the Instagram feed to promote one of the flavors I created.
Running Out of Time Music Video
A group project made by myself, Maria Accordino, Jared Manelas, and guest starring Kenley Kegler. This music video was inspired by Paramore's Running Out of Time by having a chaotic, fun, and colorful vibe. The video was shot on a Canon camera on a green screen and edited in Adobe After Effects. The illustrations were created in Adobe Illustrator and then brought to life using After Effects.
Grimes Green Screen Video
During quarantine, Grimes released a green screen video for one of their songs so that was the video used for this project. The video was key-lighted and edited using Adobe After Effects. Stock videos from Pexels and Unsplash were used as backgrounds and some illustrators created in Adobe Illustrator (by me) are included in the video as well.
Expressive Typography: Emotions -- Disgust
Expressive typography practice in After Effects. I created a slime-like effect using shape layers, roughen edges, and turbulence displace to give an uneasy, slimy effect to my text.
Expressive Typography: Emotions -- Calm
Expressive typography practice in After Effects. I used all lowercase letters in a sans-serif font to create a calm and approachable feel. The light purple background and puddle effect at the end keep with the relaxed feeling. The tracking on the text is symbolic of an exhaled breath.
